NEO Attack...Great Guys

Knowing Diamond DAK for several years we have been in touch back and forth about what our two teams needed.

Last night was our first night of try outs and NEO Attack joined us to help look at the girls trying out. Since our team only needed 2 girls, we hoped there would be enough talent for both teams. There was, a few of the girls that were outstanding athletes were given an invitation to go to NEO Attacks try outs.

The reason I am posting this is I wanted to let parents know how the NEO Attack Coaches handled this situation. They handled it with class and very professionally. They knew the girls we were interested in and did not approach these girls, they did speak to all of the other girls trying out after I introduced them. One of the girls our team was interested in had indicated on her try out sheet that she was planning to try out for NEO Attack. The coach from NEO Attack knew she was coming to his try outs and he still did not approach her or talk to her and she was one of the better players at try outs.

Again the coaches from this team handled this very well. NEO Attack is a class act!!!

So is this a sign of a future tryout method ? many teams get together and the girls try out in front of many teams at once ? i think your on to something......

We've talked on OFC before about a "combine" try-out. But there are some serious practical issues when there is no draft.

If I needed a bunch of girls or if our try out thread was not viewed much, not sure that I would have brought on anyone else to watch. Since I only needed 2 girls and I thought our team spoke for itself, I thought this was the perfect time to try it.

The past several years we have always held our try out and then after the conclusion we gave information on other local try outs. This year it was nice having another Org there ready to talk to the girls and they were able to watch the girls try out so they could make offers if they wanted.

Depending on how next year works out for us, we will try it again and maybe next year invite a few more teams.

I could forsee a MMA event breaking out with multi team tryouts . We all get along so well on here ...... right ? lol MD

That could be the case with some teams buy I can say it would not happen with NEO Attack. These guys stayed in the background the whole time and were 100% perfect to have at our try outs. I can see the two of us doing it again next year.
