Gender equality, now more than ever, cannot be selective.
These young women work their entire lives to play softball at the professional level, only to get there and be part-time.

Right over here!
This a wonderful conversation to start. With the growth of fastpitch, both in Ohio and around the nation, there are more and more NPF teams, however a shame about the Rebellion. Have been to a number of NPF games and the stands are usually pretty full. I know the after game autograph sessions are real fan favorites. Seems like collegiate softball is gaining traction many times over, especially in the last 5 years or so. There have been many threads about the growth of the sport but taking it to the corporate level is a need and there is a need for a dialogue. These are business ventures. The larger the revenue stream the greater the budget from corporate America.

I am surprised with UA. They are usually on the cutting edge of collegiate sports and with there agreement with Oregon, and success of the SB program there, they would not be leading the way in this arena. When the market shows return on invested capital the corporations will listen. This topic is a great way to start that narrative!

While I do agree these major athletic suppliers could give some money and not even miss it....

I think if the Racers organization is looking for sponsors they may have more success with local vendors that are reps for the Major athletic brands, and the items you need to run a professional program including: concessions, lawn/field care... especially if they are only looking for 10k per sponsor.

NPF overall has struggled with attendance and a league with only 5 teams after all these years it may give potential large sponsors and investors second thoughts...

You have to give the Racers credit they are competitive and have been around since the inception of the league but the league really has to grow with attendance numbers to get major sponsorship dollars and honestly the league may not be around much longer if it does not start to grow....
