These are rule changes and announcements for the 2011 season from our National Convention. I apologize if you receive this email twice as some of you have already sanctioned for the 2010-2011 season.
NSA 18u World Series will be back with the other age group locations for 2011.
2011 NSA "B" World Series: 8u(player-pitch)-10u-12u-14u-16u-18u
Hamilton County, Indiana (North of Indianapolis - Carmel-Fishers-Noblesville Areas)
July 25th -31st NO EVENTS will be scheduled on Sunday July 24th.

14u Pitching Distance:
14u Age group will have the OPTION within each State to play either at 40 ft or 43 ft pitching distance. The 14u ?A? and ?B? World Series will be at 43 ft pitching distance.
I am having Southern Ohio play at what the World Series pitching distance will be played.
For Pool Play ONLY - Start with 8 Players:
Teams can start POOL PLAY games with 8 players, the empty 9th spot will be recorded as an out and the 9th player can be inserted at any time they show up. Teams will not be allowed to play with less than 8 players no matter the reason. NOTE: This is for pool play only. This will NOT apply to single elimination (championship) brackets during qualifiers or the State Tournament as it is played in a bracket 3-4 game minimum format.
Equipment:
Players can NOT have optic yellow or fluorescent yellow circles on gloves or mitts. White/grey mitts and gloves are allowed.
New for Player Releases in Youth:
Players can be released one time between September 1st and December 31st but CANNOT go back to their original team during that time frame. Players can then be released one time between January 1st and August 31st, but CANNOT go back to their original team in that time frame. All other rules for player releases still apply.
I am in the process of finalizing the schedule for Southern Ohio as soon as possible and have been updating the Play NSA website with confirmed tournaments. Go to www.playnsa.com and click on tournament search and then choose OH for the state to search.
