Ohio Classics Fall NSA Qualifier

The Ohio Classics are again hosting their Fall NSA Qualifier on Oct 6 & 7 in Pickerington, Ohio. All age groups 12u - 14u -16u -18u. Great facilities, great concessions and very well run.

Late Starts are available for the 16s an 18s on Saturday to clear ACTs and school sports. Looking for 16U teams that want to start early so they girls can go to homecoming too.

$350, 4 GG, 3 pool/single eliminationn. (there will be a small gate fee this year) All games can bat complete roster if desired.

the 18u will be pitching from 40' for this tournament because we couldn't remove the pitching plates on the beautiful softball facilites at the two high schools ( I don't blame them either)

Batting full roster if desired. No penalty for and injury to a player if you chose to do that.

You may start with 8 players... Its fall ball.

1:45 or 2 ? 3 pool play games back to back. ?single elim on Sunday

with 16 teams it mean you need 4 to win it on Sunday

I may look at two pool on Saturday and one on Sundays with pool winners getting a bye. ?but it would then mean 5 games on Sunday to ?win it if you were second in your pool... ?

Any way you slice, Sunday ball at Pick North should be pretty awesome.

When's the cut-off to register? What's the rain-out policy???

Cut off - is always flexible... because I'm looking to fill age groups in multiples of 4. I would like everything by 9-30 so I can get it out by Monday the 1st..

Rain - hmm I hate that question. I will have to cover fixed costs so even if its 100% rain out I can't give a 100% refund. No games in $250 (or more if fixed costs work out) If we get one game in $175 refund. 2 games in $100 after that none.

I am looking for a couple 16u teams that can actually play earlier than 2:00. ?The Homecoming issue is bigger than the ACT issue. ?So if you are signed up and would like to start at 12:05 or 10:25 let me know. ?

Need one team each at 12, 14 and 16 to fill us. (2) berths will be given at 12U, (3) at 14U, (4) at 16u and (1) at 18u to the 2008 NSA World Series.

I haven't gotten a single entry or inquiry on 10U yet. Last year we had 4 teams and it went well. We could accomodate one. if we get the interest. If every 10u team sits around and waits to see who gets in it.... then we won;t have one.

If we get only one or two teams we'll just play a couple games at a reduced price to cover umpires and field use
