Congratulations to the Ohio Classics on a great tournament!! AND....to all the teams!!!

Great weather always helps but we all know that preparation and organization always makes a tournament that much more fun to play in for every team top to bottom.

Our 14 Gold coaches were impressed and couldn't have been happier at the quality of competition and the way the torunament was run.

Look forward to 4-5 Cincy Storm teams here next year, I know it's early but do you feel you will likely hold it the same weekend next fall?

Conragtulations again, I personally was unable to attend but was told that the level of competition really is indicative of the growth of teams here in Ohio.

Thanx for the props! - We had a little trouble with this year because the county fair started this weekend and many of our players and coaches had animals to primp and preen to get ready for a big week. I know that may be hard for the city folks to understand but many of the schools in Fairfield county take the whole week off because of the fair. Me I'm a city boy - but we have to respect that.

The reality is we choose our weekend based on the Buckeye schedule (the Ohio State Buckeyes - not the Buckeye Heat :)). If there is a bye or a really lopsided match-up the first or second week in October we jump on that. We also worked with the Valley Sting tourney so we have ilots of options in the fall.

We have some big plans for next year and we'll post them when we get things figured out.

The Classic Fall Tournament is one of the best around. Dave and his crew do a fantastic job running the tournament. I know that I speak for the Buckeye Heat organization and many other teams that were there, when I say - Thank you.

Just came out of the post about recruiting. David, maybe we can recruit Johnnies!!!

Johnnies it was good to see you again. Congrats on making it to the finals. I wish we would have played each other. We will I'm sure meet during our Spring and Summer tournies.

I am very proud to be a part of the Ohio Classics I believe going on my 5th year. How time flies. I played against Johnnies when my oldest was 11 or 12. I do not recall who won or lost but I do recall the great fun we had. What goes around comes around I guess.

As always I look forward to helping with our Classics tournaments and seeing all the folks who love this sport and support their young atheletes. I did not see one out of line parent or fan where I was located. I saw fans on all teams supporting every players efforts even if it was the opposing team. I also saw coaches congratulating opposing players during games when a great play was made. That is what takes this sport to the next level. That players love to hear support from the everyone. Not just there own team. I have even heard my own daughters tell an opposing player nice play or great effort. Lets instill these values.

Good luck to everyone going into their 2007 season. Winter is almost here and soon we will be indoors.

Oh yea, I watched my daugters show chickens tonight. Rabbits this Weds. My wife was left hauling down all the 10 chickens and 12 rabbits to the fair Saturday. Guess where I slept Saturday night. Thanks Dave...

I believe coach mix also was in the dog house. I met up with him tonight. He chuckled and headed to the LU concession booth.

?   ?What a great tournament (what I saw). ?I only got to see a little of the games on Sunday. ?The Nightmare looks good wow! ?I saw the 10u Cincy Doom.. that pitcher has good control for a 10u player. ?She will be one to watch. ?The Lasers Silver...I'm not sure what to say about them...they left me speechless when I saw them. ?What a pitcher..I've seen a lot of pitchers over the years but at 12u NO WAY (must be moving up) and the catcher they have is incredible along with their shortstop. ?I love how they can put the best in the state together. ?I liked the high level of competition at the 14u that I saw on the cork board, I wish I could have been their on Saturday. ?Good job on this tournament Classics keep up the good work.
