I know it's popular to bash OHSAA on here ... while I don't support or like all of these rules, let me just play devil's advocate for a second and throw out a few scenarios that might help some understand why OHSAA might have them:
1) High school coach requires everyone who is going to play school ball for him to play on his travel team or one he supports
2) Same as above AND team practices 5 days a week during the summer
3) Same as above and your daughter is underclass pitcher who doesn't get playing time during school and won't in travel ball either
OR, if that doesn't bother you ...
4) Other schools have travel ball teams which play together all summer, but yours doesn't (i.e., unfair advantage?)
