Ohio Stingray Showcase Deadline Extended

Due to our website being non-operational for the better part of two-three weeks, we are going to extend the deadline for application to the 2007 Ohio Stingrays Showcase Tournament.

Our webmaster has been updating a lot of our site, and encountered some unforseen problems, so it has taken longer than anticipated. However, you can access the tournament portion of the site by following the link below:

Iceman3, I will have to get back to you on that list. I just received the list today from the person who is compiling the entry forms, but last year there seemed to be some significant resentment when we published the on-going list of teams that had applied. A number of people, in very public ways, expressed their thoughts that we were purposely publishing that list and then not including specific teams in the tournament field as a way to embarrass specific teams and organizations. Now, that couldn't be further from the truth, so this year, we will wait and see how to handle this.

However, I can tell you that the list of teams is extremely strong.

I do not understand why the process is so in detail anyways! I saw the registration form and it looked like a Loan Application. Lots of questions. Just woundering why so many? Seems like it would be eaiser to get a Home loan than it is to get in the Tourney! Just my opinion! I say let them all play!!!

Tig, thanks for the update. Our site has recently switched servers. No appearance changes, just changes in the way it is run behind the scenes, and I was unaware of the URL change, so thank you.

As far as the deadline, we are going to say that the deadline will be November 17th. Thank you again for your interest in the tournament.

If you use MattTamanini@hotmail.com, it shouldn't be returned. I try to use the Matt.Tamanini@stingraysfastpitch.com because it looks more professional if I have the website's email account, but to be honest with you, it just forwards to my hotmail account one. I think the reason they got returned was because the website was down, so therefore the email associated with it was as well.

Stick with MattTamanini@hotmail.com!!!

In terms of a prize, do you mean for the tournament or our familial post contest? For the tournament, yes there will be a set of very nice trophies, or the post contest, just bragging rights.

Now come on Bear, I don't think we are rookies, we have been around here for a while, we just haven't been able to get as many posts as you since both my dad and I have lived out of state for almost three years now!!! So cut us a little slack!!!
