I could probably find the answer if look hard enough but thought I would post question for a quick answer instead.
How many girls from the same school can play on a travel team? Is there restrictions as far as timeframe? Does it only concern high school girls? For instance can a 14u team have say 1 freshman, 1 sophmore, and 4eigth graders from the same school district? Thanks for your help.

As long as a HS or JH coach, paid or unpaid doesn't coach it is unlimited till July 31...and further if they go to a National. If a HS or JH coach, paid or unpaid is the coach it has to be 4 or fewer for the same rules to apply. If more than 4 they get 10 days per coaching staff, not per coach.

The per 4 rule of a HS coach that is coaching club, does not apply to 8th graders. If there is no HS coach, coaching said travel ball team, then the entire team can come from the same HS. That's what I remember.... lol

One other thing I seem to remember is that they had to have previously played on a school board sanctioned team. The 4 girls are still 7th graders until June 1 (tournament is this weekend) and 7th grade ball is not sanctioned by the school here, it is club ball. So if I am correct I don't think the 4 per team rule even applies to them, whether coached by school coach or not, because they have not yet played for the school system. Time to check OHHSAA website. Thanks for th answers provided so far.

Found this on ohsaa website. Pretty sure it supports my memory that this rule will not apply to these 6 girls because 4 of them have never played a school sanctioned event (in softball).
4.2) A member of an interscholastic softball squad (any student who has played in a
scrimmage, preview or regular season/tournament game as a substitute or starter)
sponsored by the Board of Education or other governing board may participate in
non-interscholastic softball prior to and after the school season under the following
conditions:
4.21) The number of interscholastic softball players from the same school on a noninterscholastic
squad is limited to four on the roster of that non-interscholastic
squad. A roster is defined as all the members of the entire squad on that noninterscholastic
squad.
Note: Graduating seniors who are participating on a non-interscholastic softball
squad after their final interscholastic contest of the season in the sport of
softball are exempt from this limitation.
4.22) There is no limit on the number of softball squad members from the same
school participating on the same squad during the period June 1-July 31.
4.23) A player may continue to play with a non-interscholastic squad in a national
qualifying tournament in excess of the four player limitation after July 31
until the squad is eliminated but no later than Labor Day.
4.24) Non-interscholastic participation includes tryouts, training, practice and competition.

As mentioned above, if your JH team is a club team and not recognized by the school board, OHSAA rules do not apply.
