Overall Travel Ball Organization Question

Ok - let me try - I agree with much of what has been said but here is my take:

1. If you are young - find a team that fits your goals - depends on the level of your dd - I say play at a level that:
* challenges her
* that she gets a lot of playing time
* has a good coach - ie - knows the game, gives constructive feedback etc
* has some level of success - for the plain reason that winning is fun and kids stick with something that is fun

2. Once you get to 14u, I would suggest that you make a decision about what you want to do with softball - ie, play for fun only, be a good hs player, play at the college level etc - if you want to play for college then the list narrows significantly - again, the coach makes a huge difference

3. So, if you want to have a lot of fun and win at a young age, find one of those name organizations or more importantly a very good coach and have fun, win and learn

4. When you get older, self recruit, find a good coach (sometimes hard to do) and get to camps
