Is there no Penn-Ohio Classic for 2014?

The 14U is in PA this year, Memorial Day weekend:
ASA of PA Western Area

I'd guess the 10U&12U is in OH somewhere then, but don't know the specifics on that for sure.

I had heard the 10U/12U is in Marion.

Thanks Jason. Who knows about this for sure? I wanted to be sure to play this tourney this year.

I love the idea, I just don't think the powers that be are pulling it off correctly. 2 years ago it was in Canton and my team was the only PA team in the tourney, 10 & 12U. This past year a few of the big Ohio teams came over in 12U, but not a ton. They have these tournaments an hour in-state. No offense, but if 1 PA team came to Canton, I can't imagine any more will be coming to Marion. If they want to create a border-war type of tournament, I get it...Great idea, but put it on the border. When it's in Ohio, play it at Boardman, when it's in PA, play it in New Castle. You have got a better chance getting all teams to drive 1-2 hours, than for it to be local for some and a 3 hour drive for others. Just my 2 cents

I can't speak for the 10U/12U divisions, but the 14U seems to have caught on. We (TFM Rebels-PA) played the 14U in Canton, OH last year and there were 16 teams or so and seemed to have a good split between PA and OH. There were plenty of strong teams too - Lasers, Wolfpack, Team PA, Pgh Spirit, Silver Creek, etc. The year before as 13U we played the 14U in Kennedy Twp and likewise saw 2 different Lasers teams there, Ohio Outlaws, Pgh Power, Pgh Roadrunners, etc.

I think part of the reason the 14U is better attended is that 14U teams seek the ASA/USA berth more than 10U and 12U teams do.

Good point. Marion is more like an Indiana-Ohio Classic location...
