Hi, my daughter has been using the tighspin trainer (hand-held version). I'm thinking of getting her the tightspin trainer (wall-mount version). I was wondering if anyone here has the wall-mount. It's much more expensive than the hand-held and I was wondering if it's worth it. I'm usually there during her workouts so I am available to hld it for her. Is there any benefit other than that it doesn't require 2 people?

I'm a junior in high school and i have a Finch Windmill. It mounts to your wall so you wouldn't have to hold it, it allows your daughter to do her arm circles and gives tension, so it builds up her shoulder muscles and rotater cuff. I've been using it for a little over a month, and I can already see speed increases. It's a little expensive but really worth it if you follow the work out. I would recommend it.

Could you please post the website for the wall mount tight spin device, as well as the hand held one?

Does it provide continuous resistance?

The web site for the handheld version is fastpitching.com. The wall mount version is not available to the public yet - my daughter's pitching coach has a few demos that I can buy. I think it will be available in a few weeks. Yes, it provides continuous resistance. My daughter swears that it has put more spin on her rise.

Sarah - We have the Finch as well. The Tightspin trainer mounts to a track just like the Finch although the Tightspin is much easier to adjust up and down and to remove from the track. The two are pretty similar in what they achieve - the Finch puts resistance to your arm circle where the Tightspin puts resistance to your fingers and wrists.
