This tournament will be played at Heisler Park in Goshen (Northeast Cincinnati area), Ohio.

Cost is $50.00 plus teams will pay umpires on the fields $35.00 before each game starts. We did this event last year in this manner and teams loved the concept. I like it as well.

Sunday only tournament. Proceeds from the $50.00 entry fee part (after deleting the cost of softball) will be given to Goshen Jr Sports/Heisler Park for the cost of buying "Hollywood bases" for 2010 for the fields.

So, come play a round robin on Sunday only and be a part of providing safety bases at the Park for 2010.

Three game round robin format. No prizes to be given.

Team space in limited to four (4) per age group.

Contact Tim Cleaver for more info on the event at 513-575-3330 or williamtcleaver@gmail.com

Tim,

you may want to check the NK Bandits 15 u as I do not believe there is a 15-U team. The 14's are at NKU on Saturday and I have no knowledge of them playing this Sunday in Goshen. i may be wrong - it's happened before.

Thanks Ricky for trying. I appreciate it. I'll get you down here to Goshen sooner or later.

You and your wife going to Savannah with us? You know I'd like for Candice and Ricky Jr to go as well.

Had a call from another team in the 12u. Waiting to hear. When you awake in the morning schedule will be on here. No game before 11 am for sure.

14u Bandits are checking with the parents right now. Coach Lang said he let me know by morning.

Doug, sent you a PM. She wants to play a double header... and has been working hard to get a team. She'll let me know by 9am. Thanks for making a go of it .. to help out the Park. But, that is you. Top Shelf.

As of this morning, I got a call from Doug and 6 of his girls are out of school this morning with the flu... so 12u will not go off as planned. Best wishes to the girls that their illness passes soon. I know they are disappointed...

Concession stand will be open at the Park, no coolers except water for the girls is fine.

Bring lawn chairs for comfort, of course.

How are the fields looking? Have you called the air force in to dry them out yet?

Just came in from the Park. Everything, of course, is on schedule and begins at 11 am. 62 and sunny on Sunday.

Remember, there will be a $2.00 parking fee charged at the gates to benefit the Park for bases and for people who know me... I have never charged a gate ever before.... but we need these bases.

Thank you to the teams who came as it was a wonderful day to play ball. Grounds crew did a great job as usual and the teams made many comments on the Park and grounds crew.

Ohio Hawks Gold (Herman) won the tournament after a come from behind win over the Cincy Magic in the bottom of the seventh. Yes, we played full games.

I want to make a comment about a little know team called Liberty Blazers. Stepping out of the rec league and entering Fall ball as a 1st year travel team. The catcher was tremendous and not many balls at all passed this young lady. Her arm was accurate even thouugh it is hard to throw someone out on a change up.

But, most of all... with a little winter work... this team is going to ruin some team's championship hopes on a given Sunday. They NEVER give up. One of those " Walks lightly but carries a big stick" type of team. Good luck to them.
