BLOUNTVILLE — Dylan White hurled a no-hitter for the Patriots on Wednesday, racking up seven strikeouts in the process. He worked around five walks to get the 3-0 win, and he also smacked a pair of doubles. Eli Milhorn went 3-for-3 with a two-bagger. Elizabethton 6, Johnson County 1 ELIZABETHTON — Pitcher Evan Carter’s five good innings combined with two RBIs from both Ryan Wetzel and Evan Perkins propelled Elizabethton past Johnson County. Carter held Johnson County to a run on three hits before Lawson Wagner kept the Longhorns at bay over the final two frames. Logan Estep was 2-for-3 and Ethan Eggleston 2-for-4 for the Cyclones. Gabe Reese had an RBI single for the ’Horns. Eastside 13, Wise Central 8 WISE — The Spartans earned a nondistrict win over the Warriors behind Colyn Sturgill going 3-for-3, all doubles. He also scored four runs and had an RBI. Dakota Moore and Nick Livingston each had a pair of RBIs for Eastside. Bryson Collins went 3-for-5 with three RBIs for the Warriors. Drew Richards pitched five innings for the Spartans and struck out nine. John Battle 4, Lebanon 1 BRISTOL, Va. — For the third night in a row, the Trojans had to rally from being down early in the game. The Pioneers started off the game with a run, but did not score again. Jake Mumpower came on in relief and got the win. Micah Whitt went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Battle. Bryce Bowman shut down the Pioneers and earned the save. Unaka 8, Hampton 5 ELIZABETHTON — Bryson Street accounted for two hits and six innings of one-hit relief, leading Unaka to an 8-5 Watauga Valley Conference conquest of Hampton at Claude Holsclaw Field. Street earned a decision as the Rangers (12-4, 5-1 WVC) pulled within a game of University High for first place in league play. Blake King topped Unaka offensively with a three-hit performance. It was a tough loss for the Bulldogs (6-7, 4-4), who coughed up a 5-0 lead in the latter part of the game. They got the first career home run from sophomore Caleb Oaks. SOFTBALL 
Sullivan North 10, Hampton 5 KINGSPORT — Alyssa Bean accounted for two triples and three RBIs for Sullivan North, which shattered a 5-5 tie with a five-run sixth. Kaitlyn Vaughn chimed in at 2-for- 2, Callie Stone went 2-for-3 (double) with two RBIs and Gracie Monk socked a two-run homer. The Lady Bulldogs’ Kaylee Graybeal went 2-for-2, driving in two runs. Union 17, Sullivan East 7 BRISTOL — Cayden Bawgus and Kylie Wolfe homered for the Lady Patriots, who couldn’t contain Union’s bats in the State Line Classic. Wolfe finished 2-for-3 with two runs while Autumn Moore (2-for-3, double) and Bawgus (2 runs) each collected three RBIs. Virginia High 4, Sullivan East 3 BRISTOL—The Lady Bearcats broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the seventh to deny Sullivan East, which lost despite outhitting Virginia High 11-3. Going 2-for-4, Kylie Wolfe belted her second home run of the day. East teammate Jillian Shackleford batted 2-for-4. Twin Springs 20, Thomas Walker 1 NICKELSVILLE — The Lady Titans made quick work of Thomas Walker in a five-inning Cumberland District win. Baylie Compton went 5-for-5, and Aubrey Powers, Emaleigh Powers and Bell McCoy each went 3-for-4. The Lady Titans racked up 24 hits in the win. The Lady Pioneers had two hits by Chelsey Parks and Bella Schwartz. Rye Cove 7, Burton 1 CLINCHPORT — Ashley Smith hit her second home run in as many days as the Lady Eagles notched another Cumberland District win. Smith was 3-for-3 while Hailey Byington was 2-for-4 and got the win in the circle. Kennedy Taylor went 3-for-4, and Haley Tomlinson went 2-for-3 with a double for Rye Cove. The Lady Eagles improve to 5-5 on the season with an unblemished 2-0 mark in district play. Late Tuesday
 Rye Cove 12, Castlewood 2 CASTLEWOOD — Haley Tomlinson pitched a no-hitter for the Lady Eagles in a Cumberland District win over the Lady Blue Devils. She was also 2-for-4 at the plate with a double. Ashley Smith hit a three-run home run in the first inning. Kennedy Taylor, Grace Isdel and Maricar Zamora each had a double for Rye Cove.
