I thought this was pretty good for the girls to think about.....

From Tony Rico....President of the Firecrackers organization and head coach of their 18U Gold team.....

?When players worry about the outcome, they lose the process. We try to emphasize the need to think through crisis situations and make good decisions. If you can play hard and make good decisions, that?s going to be OK regardless of the outcome. We just try to play each inning that way.?

This was a quote from him after last night's Power Showdown game against Kevin Shelton's Texas Glory team out in Colorado. I watched in on CBS Sports.
There are two more games on tonight at 6:00 and I believe 8:30 EST. It is the 14U and 16U Championship.

Great quote.. To many players today are holding on the what happened 5 minutes ago or a mistake. I like the "decision" aspect and not worrying about the outcome. Its easier said then done but teaching how to manage adversity is one of the hardest parts of the game.
