How many Girls play in your Rec League or Youth League Softball program? What age groups is most popular? What age group struggle with low numbers? I'm not from Ohio, just wanted to see how the numbers compare to Oklahoma.

My rec league softball program has a average of 330 - 350 players. The biggest age groups is 10 and 12 unders, total teams 19. Are smallest age group is the 14 under division with about 6 teams. T-Ball and Coach Pitch combined make up about 9 - 10 teams ever year.

We have a older division that play 18 under, once you turn 15 you have to play with the 18 under age group to continue playing in the league, an it's not fastpitch they play slowpitch softball only. This girls mostly just play for the fun of it and most of them don't play High School Softball. They aren't counted in with the younger girls and are considered separated from the league itself. But they do manage to have between 5 - 7 teams ever year and seem to have a blast playing slow pitch softball. Since High School Ball in Oklahoma is very competitive, girls that get very little playing time in High School will join the league again and play slowpitch.
