To be honest the term you used just stuck in my head, but my reply was directed toward the entirety of the thread. I wasn't calling you out and I agree...I don't like whining either.
I never said hitting a batter makes you not a "milquetoast pantywaist". What makes you a milquetoast pantywaist is whining about every little thing, whether real or imagined. About being upset about things that you have no control over. About GETTING HIT and acting like it should never happen.
To sum up, so there are no misconceptions, if my DD gets hit intentionally... well, it happens. It's part of the risk you take when you play ANY sport. Hard hits in football, ******, hockey, basketball...etc. So, to assume that it doesn't happen in softball is just plain silly. And no matter what anyone thinks about the right or wrongness of it, it will never go away. There will always be intentional hits and 98% of the time, you will never prove it. So I'm saying that, for me and mine, we just roll with it.
