Slug bunt is a term I remember from baseball. I could see it working with short and second deep and the corners up and the batter hitting a ball hard enough to get a ball past either 3B and P or 1B and P. Would create a difficult play for SS or 2B. Thanks to Howard for explaining the usefulness of a power slap by a righty. There are certainly other situations where a right handed slap would be effective. For example to score a runner from third or sacrifice a runner from second to third. It also keeps a squeeze in play as a foul ball would not result in a K. If its a tool one of your players can develop, why not utilize it.
