Scott Herman, who has been around the game of Fastpitch for the past 20+ years passed away earlier tonight.......
He had coached his granddaughter in an 8U All-Star Tournament earlier in the day.

We are saddened by the unexpected passing of a former Hawks coach Scott Herman this past weekend. Scott had a heart for youth and passion for softball. He was a great friend of mine and will be missed.

The Hawks would like to announce that we will be establishing a memorial scholarship fund in Scott's name consisting of two $500 scholarships to be awarded to players at the annual Ohio Hawks Dayton Metro tournament.

Tragic news. I knew Scott for many years and his love of softball and the kids truly stood out. He was passionate about the game for sure and will truly be missed.
