Daughter is wanting to know (guess so is dad) about whom gets the pitching win.
If starting pitcher pitches 2 2/3 innings but has to be relieved in the 3rd inning for the final out, then the relief pitcher throws 3 1/3 innings not giving up the lead at any point. Then 7th inning another pitcher comes in to close it out.
We know pitcher 3 does not get the win, but does pitcher #2? Does the started have to go a certain amount of innings to get the win.
Game did go 7 innings.
Im still learing the OHSAA rules.
