DAYTON, Tenn. - The Bryan College Lions softball team started their 2018 season at Lindsey Wilson College when the Blue Raiders were ranked 8th in the country, and the Lions got another look at the top-ranked team, now 11th, when they hosted the Blue Raiders in doubleheader action on Thursday. Lindsey Wilson powered past Bryan in their first meeting for the sweep and thought they would gain another relatively easy pair of victories after downing the Lions 11-2 in run-rule fashion during game number one. What they didn't anticipate was Bryan's determination to respond in the nightcap as the Lions used 19 hits to tally 11 runs, marking the most runs scored against Lindsey Wilson this season. Unfortunately, the Blue Raiders displayed why they are a high caliber team as they rallied late to escape the upset with a 13-11 final. The pair of victories helped improve Lindsey Wilson's overall mark to 19-4, while Bryan fell to 8-22 overall. The wins for the Blue Raiders also helped extend their current win streak to nine.
