[Softball] Cerny, Prieto, and Hatter Earn NAIA All-American Honors

CHICKASHA, Okla. –The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2019 Softball All-America teams, selected by the NAIA All-America committee.The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma softball team had three student-athletes selected as NAIA All-American's.

KRISTEN PRIETO -

Kristen Prieto (JR/Moore, OK) was selected as a First-Team All-American. The junior from Moore, Okla. finished the season with a .463 batting average and she scored 42 runs for the Drovers. Prieto showed off her power throughout the season blasting 15 doubles, 12 homeruns, and she drove in 66 runs.

EMILY CERNY –

Emily Cerny (SO/Newcastle, OK) was selected by the NAIA as a First-Team All-American for the second straight season to start her college career. The 2018 NAIA Pitcher of the Year from Newcastle, Okla. finished the 2019 season with a 30-4 record and she struck out 280 batters in 206.0 innings pitched. Cerny concluded another incredible season with a 0.65 earned run average.

RANDA HATTER –

Randa Hatter (JR/Stratford, OK) was selected by the NAIA as a Second-Team All-American. The junior from Stratford, Okla. finished the season with a .372 batting average and she scored 39 runs for the Drovers. Hatter showed plenty of power throughout the season hammering 13 doubles, 17 homeruns, and she drove in 57 runs.
