Marymount California, coming off its first California Pacific Conference title in its brief four-year history, will stay on the West Coast and join two other regional teams in the four-team, double-elimination Southern Oregon Bracket of the NAIA Softball Championship Opening Round. The Mariners, 34-13 overall this spring, will play the second game on Monday, May 13, against host and top-seed Southern Oregon, which is currently ranked No. 4 in the NAIA. That game is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. The first game will pit Hope International, No. 11 in the nation and the #2 seed in the tournament, and (RV) Taylor, the #3 seed, in the opening game at 11 a.m.
