These swing mechanics were posted on another website.
There are things on thoses videos you can learn from.

Video 6 on the end when she hits off the machine. Why does her ball flight go left with that swing?
She is hitting across the ball. Is it obvious to you?

The video when she is swinging down the rope. How long does the sweet part of her bat stay on the plane of the pitch?
Her sweet spot on the bat stays on for about 2 inches. That is the only window she has to hit it square.Otherwise it is a push to the right or she kills the third base coach.

Does she have a pure circular swing?

This is bat lag. All good hitters achieve this in their swing

This girl never gets the bat into this position in her swing. I am sure she is a nice girl who is only doing what she was taught.
But the mechanics of her swing is not a high level swing as I view it.

I say yes, circular swing. Arms are at full extension at contact instead of after. Hands are rarely above the ball with poor bat angle. Looks like the demons I have been facing with my dd's hands dropping. But then again I could be wrong JMO.

I look at this and see the upper body ahead of the lower body through the swing. She loads her back hip nice, then it looks to me the hip starts to go but the upper body flies ahead
It is a nice swing but would be more powerfull with her hips leading.

Big strong girls can get away with this. Smaller girls might have trouble getting it out of the infield.

i'll say it -- that looks like **** and it's scary that anyone with that much "knowledge' would be teaching hitting. IMO it's just a terrible swing. Hands too low, head not down at contact, hips over-roated in several instances , she seems out of balance . just not pretty at all. MD

the vid of of the player that straightleg posted is far more advanced than this player.

Jerry...you should be banned from OFC for posting that c r a p!!! There is absolutely no value in any of those videos...other than what to do to ruin a swing!!

Does one look more connected than the other.
See any differences

Does one look more upper body dominate?

Those youtube videos...which I think you were trying to be funny when you posted them (you were weren't you??) have no value, is what I was trying to say.

No I was not trying to be funny. Just showing a different swing. Pure circular.
Just easy to see in those videos.

Like people have posted before, some college coach's still teach bug squishing.

If you can see the pure circular swing parent/daughter/coach.
It then might be easier for them to correct it to a straight back straight through swing.
Long through the zone.

Number 2 looks more connected to me. More balanced, a straight line from lead foot through body

Not a bad swing.

She rides forward with hands and body - not creating a space for her hips to lead.
Back elbow low which slots faster in swing and promotes getting the upper body ahead of the lower body.
Not fully using her hips.

I like her finish how she thrusts through the ball

One rides forward with hands and hips
One has the hips go forward as hands go back

One has back elbow up on rotation
One has back elbow lower on rotation that slots faster and gets ahead of lower half on rotation.

The space created as hips go forward as hands go back will help a hitter be more connected - IMO

how would you put into words a defintion for "connection" ?

I view it as after toe touch. The rotation is all one piece. Elbows maintaining the same space betweem them through out the swing
The hips barely start first then it all rotates together smoothly.

I like this swing

And this one
