And too long. Get her hands down on the bat and use all of it. Choking up that far takes away the mechanical advantage of the tool.

I agree that the bat is too heavy, she is having a hard time keeping things stable. Her stance looks okay and her weight distribution seems to transfer a little late in the swing at times. It is really hard to totally dissect it as she is rushing through.

Do another video with front toss or of tee, it will be more realistic. And from what I see she is not using the bottom hand to pull the bat, it is just along for the ride or "bat drag".

She is dragging the bat through the hitting zone. Her right elbow gets far in front of her hands.

Bat head should be about where the line is and front elbow should fit in the circle.

MOMSOFTBALL- Don't get discouraged. All this criticism is well meaning- I think it's brave to put your DD on video and asking a bunch of softball nuts about her swing, but it's awesome that you are a MOM asking about her swing, and that your DD is young and hopefully coachable. I think if you get her to a coach that she likes, who knows what he's doing and who will inspire her to practice, she will be a success.
DD is pitching in high school this year and I have seen some unbelievably talented girls at the plate. These tend to be girls who can wait for "their" pitch, who can foul off pitches that aren't theirs, who can stay back on change ups, and who can take the ball to any part of the field (shallow, opposite field, etc). These are the girls who can swing the same whether its 3-1 or an 0-2 count.
