Set your DVR and record the NCAA play-offs. One of the best ways for pitchers and catchers (and young coaches too) to learn pitch calling is have them watch the game and predict the pitch call prior to it being thrown. Catchers can also analyze the situation and say where they think the play should be made. Listen to announcers, learn strategy, and watch how to execute fundamental skills. You will see various hitting, fielding, and catching fundamental styles too. What works for one may be different for another.
Watch body language, facial expression, and eye focus to predict and see who will win a battle the pitcher or the batter? See if you predict who will win the at bat. Which player shows more determination and confidence. Have your players watch how athletes react to mistakes. Do they shake it off and stay big or do they pout when they make a mistake? My guess is you will not see much pouting, those teams don't make it this far.
The team that wins the game is usually the team that can keep their composure and confidence consistently when runners get on base. Which team will stay calm, clear minded, and confident in executing the fundamentals.

Boys and their dads can turn the TV on any day of the spring, summer, and fall and learn the game but girls don't have that opportunity.
