Teams and GC results

Players jump ship all the time. Not a coach's fault if a player isn't happy and wants to leave. However, there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. That's the biggest issue with society today. If my daughter decided that she wasn't happy, or that she is going nowhere on a team - SHE would call her coach personally. But that's how she was raised.

I like that! Players should have a valid reason for leaving and putting the conversation back on them will better prepare them for life. I think the biggest thing is expectations and managing them. There have been times where I have passed on a player because I realize I won't be able (or even try) to make them happy - sometimes I am not a fit either.

I have no beef with the team or coaches. Just feel bad for those players on teams like that.

All those wrong scores and deleted games on GC happened by accident.
It had been confirmed Per their scorekeeper.

So it’s ok. Fall season is over now. Start a new GC and move on. Learn from the mistake.

100% agree. I don’t believe any of these guys actively Poach players for their teams. If a player comes to one of us obviously we will scoop them up if the right fit for our team and makes sense for all parties.

I personally have a couple players on my team that’s asked weekly to join another team. Same coaches asking them all the time. Makes me smile. Tells me we get good athletes. Doesn’t make me dislike those coaches at all. If they “steal” a player or whatever it’s called then that means I wasn’t doing my part for the team. i feel the same as CoachTEA, I am not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s ok.
