The Finch Windmill

We have one and I think that it is worth it. I have not really noticed any speed gains but I think it's worth just strengthening the shoulder joint. Then again you can probably do that with therabands. If you can afford it, go for it but I wouldn't break the bank. I do like that it strengthens in the same motion used to throw the ball. The Tightspin Trainer does that as well except it strengthens the wrist, fingers, and forearms in the release motion. Actually, I think it's the best tool as far as bang for your buck goes, it's like 40-50 bucks I think. Not only does it strengthen but whenever one of our pitcher's curve isn't working we will twist the thing for a minute or so and almost immediately get the spin back, same for the rise.

Now there's a man willing to spend over $300 on something other than a bat!

I think the Finch comes to about $350 after shipping and everything. It's definitely a luxury item. I wouldn't spend that much on a bat :)

I wouldn't spend that much on a bat either stp12. My dd is only 11. Does your dd work both left and right with the Finch Windmill or does she just focus on her throwing side?

We bought ours on ebay in April for $220. DD was pitching 45 MPH, she is now hitting 51. She did pitch a lot this summer too so I don't know that the speed gain was so much the windmill or the amount of pitching time. It is a good workout for muscle balance. If you go to the website you can watch a demo about it.

At the clinic I used water hose clamps and connected 4 big ones to secure it to the I beam. You can drill the frame and mount it also in my opinion.
