Diane,

I saw that your first post on OFC was in honor of Tim and his family. To me, that is one of the best way to honor a giant in the fastpitch softball world. I would personally like for you to continue posting here in his memory. I think you will find a family here, I know I did. Let's rejoice in his memory and carry on doing what he loved... fastpitch softball. I have changed my signature to reflect the deep respect that I have for Tim. Please God take you into his arms

I just read the news on JJ.Huddle and I am still in disbelief. Tim was a great guy. I first met him at my tournament in Mt. Vernon when he asked if he could pass out fliers to this new softball place in Bellville. It has been an honor to have coached against and umpired games at his tournaments and the GFOD indoor games. Tim was a class act and will be missed by all! My deepest Sympathy to his family. My prayers are will you all! R.I.P. Tim Galligher.

Words cannot express how saddened we are by this news. Our condolences to Tim's family. We too were forever changed by GFOD, living just 15 minutes away from the fields for many years. Both daughters played there beginning with the innaugural winter season, played summer "rec league" outside on the incredible outdoor fields, spring 14U league, played in travel tournaments at GFOD, and also made brief appearances as Thunder travel ball players. DDs also played with and against Paige and Courtney. GFOD became the reason softball became a year-round sport in our family.

I have no doubt that Tim and GFOD are one of the leading reasons our daughters went on to play softball at the college level.

We would love to send condolences to the family if someone could please post or PM us contact information.

Yes - Saturday 1-3 with a memorial at 3. Wappner Funeral Home on Lex-Springmill RD. The girls have read these wonderful condolences and memories. Thank you all I know they are appreciative. For us on the Huggins team - they were part of our family. I remember when Tim decided to close GFOD, Court was still playing on our team. We decided to go it alone and stay together. Tim got tears in his eyes and said he had never seen a team that was so welcoming and so much like a family. They stayed with us for 2 more years. We are a camping team, so close is an understatement. Tim, Courtney, Paige and Tammy will always be in our thoughts and prayers - God bless you all.
