To pierce or not to pierce. That is the question.

This thread is sounding dangerously close to my Grandma (89) and my Great Aunt Lois (87) talking to each other about "these young whippersnappers". LOL.

I agree with Ringer, kids in h.s./m.s. rarely know yet what they want to be. Sometimes you have to let them do something stupid in the safety of your care...i.e. Lime green spiked hair, or in my daughter's case, she wanted purple tips at the ends of her hair last summer. Well, she went with the purple (side note: you have to BLEACH your own hair first and then apply the color dye). Needless to say, within 3 days time we went from dark purple to light purple to pink to aqua blue to a greenish thing and then to a blonde/white. It was NOT a good look. She had to cut it short just to get it back to normal. Lesson learned and I think she's smarter for it. :)

I don't know I guess I am pretty *** on stuff. My husband and I usually agree that what mom says goes...haha. My dd has the underside of her hair bleached out and it's purple. My 12 yr old son has longer 'shaggy/surfer' hair. When her hair is down you dont really even see it...it will grow out. She is 14 and not trying to impress anyone at this point for a job in adulthood...in fact still doesnt even know what she wants to be when she grows up. I would be ok with a nose or belly button piercing but it would be taken out when the environment was inappropriate. Not ok with a tattoo that is permanent. I wouldnt even let my husband get one until we were 22-23 somewhere around there...haha. As long as it can be reversed and not over the edge I am ok with it.
