Sorry for the drama folks. Not my fault. Things kind of came out of the blue this week. Totally unexpected. I was planning on meeting the staff at Whitmer, tonight actually, but I could not pass on the chance to try to keep the CCHS program moving forward. Mike Donnelly did a good job laying some ground work over the last two years and I'll do my best to make CCHS softball a power in Northwest Ohio. We're certainly not without challenges, but we'll meet them head-on - no excuses.
I know for a fact that we have some very talented players. It's my job to place them in situations where they can utilize their strengths. I believe we can be as good as we want to be. I won't predict anything other than a good, solid effort every game. We'll work hard and I believe hard work pays dividends.
I must say that Coach Figliomeni at Whitmer was very gracious when I told him of the CCHS offer. I was looking forward to working with him, and he was looking forward to having me in his program. We've known each other for about 10 years, and I appreciate his support as I take on this challenge. I would not have left Whitmer for any other position. Thanks Coach Fig!
Now...I don't want to get ragged on the first time I have a runner thrown out at home!
