I'm reluctant to weigh in on this, because I really don't have any intentions of downplaying anyone's abilities or contributions to their overall teams efforts....rather to state what's somewhat obvious that nobody wants to address directly.
Comparing Walsh to Brecksville is apples to anvils.
IMO, Brecksville's pitching is probably the weakest part of their game overall. They play good team defense, excellent strategy and chemistry from their coaching staff, and they work well together on offense to make things happen and contribute good run support. That alone is going to win you the majority of your games. While many of their opponents might have a better pitching rotation, a few costly errors on defense with limited run support will be their downfall by the time you finish 7 innings.
Walsh, through the more open enrollment process, matches Bville effectively on their strengths, while also possessing much superior pitching.
I also dare to say that nearby teams such as Hoban have improved their pitching staffs over the past 2 years, due to the log-jam in the circle at fellow open enrollment schools like Walsh.
