Travel vs Rec

My dd plays both. She is one of 2 pitchers on the team and has not missed a rec. game yet or a travel game or practice. However, the other pitcher who does not play travel has missed a few games. I have to say that it is great practice on the rubber for my dd. She can work on pitches and if she hangs them there are very few consequences. ;D

You are lucky so far Sad. What would you choose if you did have a conflict like Rec. game vs. travel practice. I have three kids that play rec ball. One set of parents gets it and is at travel practice. The other two parents just can't seem to understand why a (travel) practice would take precedent over a real (rec) game. They seem to think I'm the one being unreasonable...practice vs. game...to them it's a no brainer...game is more important. It's going to come to a head before long.

At the very beginning of the season before the schedule for rec was made I gave the coach a copy of the travel schedule practices and tournaments. He worked around that schedule when they made the rec schedule. However there is at least one conflict with a rec game a travel practice. He knows that travel will come first always. There is no choice to made. Thats why we gave him the travel schedule.
