What a thrill to compete in the USA/ASA Nationals this past week. We had the National Champions and the runners up in our three team pool. We lost to the champs, Southern California Batbusters 3-6, leaving 10 runners on base. We went down on a world of errors to the Georgia Impact 4-10. The bracket play was challenging. We were knocked out of the tournament on Sat. by a very strong hitting California Cruisers Team. Would just like to comment on how well run the tourn. was. the Bloomington Parks and Rec. did it right. Very nice ball complexes minutes apart. No traffic hassels. Opening ceremonies at the University went very well despite the 98 degree heat. It was very nice to see the umpires in their dress blues enter the stadium and parade behind the girls. Also, communication with the TD was excellent. Would also like to thank the Lasers Red team and parents for supporting and cheering their hearts out for us on Fri. It really pumped our girls up, rallied ahead 3-1 in the 7th. Thanks to the Lasers Orange for their support as well. Good luck to both teams in the up coming year. Ohio Ice girls, we are proud of you. Great job Ice! I was following the results through the Bloomington Parks & Rec website, and they were updated frequently throughout the day. It really sounds like they did things right. Wished I could have gone over and watched a few games.

There were only 4 Ohio Teams at the 12u USA/ASA Nationals. Lasers Red. Lasers Orange. Ohio Ice and Northwest Sliderz. We finished 25th out of 101 teams.

Thanks KW! I looked earlier at either the order of finish or listing of teams and saw 6 teams listed from Ohio. 2 of the teams I had never heard of before and figured it may be a typo.

The order of Finish had two teams finishing 49th that should have read from MO.
