What a thrill to compete in the USA/ASA Nationals this past week. We had the National Champions and the runners up in our three team pool. We lost to the champs, Southern California Batbusters 3-6, leaving 10 runners on base. We went down on a world of errors to the Georgia Impact 4-10. The bracket play was challenging. We were knocked out of the tournament on Sat. by a very strong hitting California Cruisers Team. Would just like to comment on how well run the tourn. was. the Bloomington Parks and Rec. did it right. Very nice ball complexes minutes apart. No traffic hassels. Opening ceremonies at the University went very well despite the 98 degree heat. It was very nice to see the umpires in their dress blues enter the stadium and parade behind the girls. Also, communication with the TD was excellent. Would also like to thank the Lasers Red team and parents for supporting and cheering their hearts out for us on Fri. It really pumped our girls up, rallied ahead 3-1 in the 7th. Thanks to the Lasers Orange for their support as well. Good luck to both teams in the up coming year. Ohio Ice girls, we are proud of you.
