Does any one have any information on the double header league to be held at Candlelight Knolls on Sundays this fall? We have a 12u, 14u & 16u team loking to participate in it.

Fifth annual Valley Extreme Fall Ball
? Fall Ball will be played on Sundays; 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/9, 10/16, & 10/23
? Cost is $300, make check payable to ?Valley Extreme? and mail to one of the below addresses.
? $100 deposit will reserve your spot, full payment must be made by 8/29/05
? Entertaining all age groups. Last year we had 28 teams (4-12U?s, 10-14U?s, 8-16U?s, and 6-18U?s)
? We have four local sites, so we can entertain 42 teams
? Game times for weeks #1 through #4; 1st doubleheader 10:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m., 2nd doubleheader 1:05 p.m. to 3:55 p.m., and 3rd doubleheader 5:40 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
? Game times for weeks #5 through #7; 1st doubleheader 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., 2nd doubleheader 12:35 p.m. to 3:25 p.m., and 3rd doubleheader 3:40 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
? Each team ?MUST? provide a new softball every week. This softball will be returned to the team after their doubleheader.
? Full concession stand
? Game time limit will be 80 minutes
? No international tie breakers if game is tied after 80 minutes
? 10 run mercy rule after 5 innings
? If time allows, there will be a 10-minute intermission between games to visit the concession stand, restrooms, and to warm up pitchers for the second game
? Whatever team was ?home team? for the 1st game will be the ?visiting team? for the second game, and visa versa.
? There will be a 15-minute intermission between doubleheaders to allow finishing teams to vacate the dugout, and the new oncoming teams to enter the dugouts.
? All teams must be prepared and ready to take the field 30 minutes prior to the start of the next set of doubleheaders.
? Games will start and end at the designated times, no exceptions!
? Game will be played under NSA rules
? To keep costs to a minimum, there will only be one NSA umpire per game. Please be considerate to their judgment calls, if problems exist please contact Greg Bensing or Bruce Whetzel.
? For rainout information, a voice message will be posted on Bruce Whetzel?s home phone answering machine (330-637-1383) approximately two hours prior to the start of the scheduled doubleheaders. You can also contact Greg Bensing?s (330-638-5505) or Bruce Whetzel?s (330-507-1442) cell phones at anytime for a weather/field update.
? Refund Policy for Rainouts; no refund for one rainout, and then a $25/team per week for 2nd, 3rd, etc. rainout

To All:

We will stop taking teams on 8/29, first double header go off on 9/4. ? ?If you are intersted please don't get shut out we only have a limit number of fields that can accomondate teams. ?Thus far we have gotten calls from over 30 teams looking to play, first checks will have their spots reserved.

8/29 is fast approaching......if you are planning on playing Fall Ball in NE OHIO don't be left out! We are taking teams in even numbers to make the double headers work. If your newly formed 2006 team is interested in playing we need to know by the end of this upcoming weekend.

All 12U games will be played at Willow Park in Cortland, this is the large field next to the Cortland water tower. ? ?This field is totally fenced in, has covered dugouts, and fix bathrooms. ? Willow Park is located on Russell Ave., please go to our web site and look under Fall Ball....there is a map of the area for your convenience. ? ?All other age groups will be played at Candlelight Knolls. ? ?

The 2005 schedule will be posted on our web site tomorrow, plus we will call all managers. ? ?Sorry for the delay, but we had some last minute requests.
