Notice how his head is facing forward so it looks like he is listening to the speaker....I think up to this point he was trying to stay in stealth mode....next clinic we need to have Boulder stand behind him and keep him in line!

Notice how his ball hat is shaped versus the distinguished looking person kneeling down with the blue hat and shirt!

Even Hitter23's hat looks classy other than it is a Yankees hat!

Even SBfamily's hat looks good...I think we need to call Boulders dad "Booger" because everyone picks on him. However he is like getting a dog from a shelter...he is cute and needs someone to love him.

From OP Re: Players Clinic Featuring UD Coaches consider 30 bucks no big deal. you should have wasted over 200 at the olympic clinic. Talk about a joke- Jenny spent most of the time talking about herself and there was no real instruction on the pitching side. Howarad was very winded on the hitting side also but I will say they were more focused on hitting. I would not recomend attending these unless you don't mind spending the money to get to meet the olympians.

I have to agree with HITTER23, LK, and Yahtzee. My dd was there for the hitting portion of the Gold, Silver and Pink Clinic. She gained invaluable information. It finally clicked with her exactly what she was doing wrong with her front elbow. She was a very solid hitter before the clinic, and I now expert her to hit the ball much harder next year. She has made much improvement in her swings at practice and she now knows what to concentrate on when taking cuts in the mirror. Whether you have a private instructor or just work your team, it's important to see other ideas on hitting. These clinics are well worth it.

Op I am sorry you feel you wasted your money by attending the clinic. We were there answering questions at lunch and during the clinic we went to the parents at the bleachers to see if there were any issues in regards to the clinic or what we were teaching. If you had a question you should have spoken up and if you still have a question please feel free to call as I sent you a PM.

You are correct I am long winded and for a reason as I have learned we have kids and parents with learning dis abilities attending the clinics and kids I work with at the house and they have said we are reaching them and that is what counts...we are trying to reach everyone.

I am assuming by Lady Knights reply that you may perhaps be a Static parent? If you are not I apologize in advance if I have offended the Static parents or players. So you know just in case you are in the Static organization we had a meeting Sunday to arrange for me to do another clinic free of charge at East Central High School for their organization and it is not open to the general public so I am sure you will not be there as I would not want to waste any more of your time or your daughters time.

To be honest, youre the first negative comment i've heard regarding this (olympic ) clinic.
I can't speak for the pitching aspect of the clinic as i was running a hitting station with my DD (who is a college player whos had 4 1/2 yrs training with Howard. It was invaluable having her demonstrate). With small groups (4-5 girls at each station) the instruction was hands on with experienced coaches/players and Howard & Crystl roving from station to station. Howard was even available for parents and coaches to ask questions and talk hitting afterward also.
Add this to the fact lunch was provided, you could meet world class athletes, take pictures with them, and get their autographs, i think it was money well spent.

I had a dd that attended both.. First negative comment I have heard. I was working a htting station, but my wife was with my dd during the pitching . Both had nothing but positives. My wife has attended many pitching clinics/camps.

Looked up some past posts by OP and they did list themselves as with the Static 95 team. We have hosted these clinics with Crystl and Howard since 2004 and first complaint other than people wishing they could spend more time with Crystl and Howard while at one.

If you want to complain about the way the clinic was run, or the lack of training then lets have a civil adult conversation-there may be some points we could use to make the next ones even better. But to compalin about a man being winded is out there. Wow, what a concept, go to a clinic and have to listen to an instructor talk about hitting. Who would have thought!

I know my dd for one appreciates all the time Howard takes to explain things. Guess that's one lemming shirt we won't have to worry about ordering....

Whatever happened to the old saying: If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Both of my daughters CANNOT wait for the clinic. My youngest, 9, just got Bill Hillhouse's autograph yesterday. And she can't wait to get Crystl's and the others. These clinics are not about the parents. They are about the girls. What they observe and learn. Taking what is taught to them to make them a better ballplayer. And hopefully, a better person. Clinics are designed to teach the girls and coaches and possibly parents some tidbits they did not know. I for one have talked back and forth with Howard on his techniques. I can't wait to see them in person. To see how they work and apply them with my two daughters and the other girls I coach.

Comments are one thing, attacking how things are done is another.
