Thanks Coach. As a coach to it's always a good feeling to see your players achieve that moment on the field but being the father to see that makes it even more of a special moment.

My dd played her first year at 16u this summer and aside from her two over the fence we saw only one other the entire summer. Now we did see a couple roling HR on fields with 300' fences, but they most likely would have been doubles with 200' fences.

.620 is what she ended up with but most of the season it was above .700 with a high of .780 but a sprained knee with 2 tournys left took it down some but the defense is what she is most proud of...

Mine was hitting them in coach pitch, (fences are closer ;). And she started coach pitch in t-ball, (couldn't hit off the tee). She can hit off the tee now,(tee work). :) Now some fields don't have fences, (??????). She can still slam 'em though. Mostly "in fields" at 13u this year. She's hitting them out in practice now, (pitching machine). I guess it depends on experience, skill, and the pitch. I don't care if the player doesn't hit it out until 18u, it's still a home run! Base hits are just as glorious if it gets RBI's, (should be 2). :) I mean a HR only get's 2 more runs if bases are loaded.
