What are the requirements to go USSSA world series

Can someone who has been before or is wise in USSSA let me know what you are required to do to attend the USSSA world series? Specifically do you have to win a USSSA tourney or attend a state tournament, both, ?etc? Thanks for your help. ;D

You have to earn a berth at a USSSA qualifier which is traditionally awarded to 1st and 2nd place. ?If the 1st or 2nd place team has already qualified, the berths can be awarded to the 3rd or 4th place team.

You then have to play in the USSSA state. ?There are two of them USSSA South and USSSA North. You can play in either.

Before you play in any qualifier - go to the USSSA website and register your team. ?You have to decide if you want to register your team as "A" or "B" . ? If you are, for example, all 13U you can register your team as a 13U team if you chose to do so. ?USSSA is the only sanction that has the Odd Year nationals. For example, if you have a team that consists of all younger 14U girls (13U), you can qualify for the 13U nationals.

Beavercreek has the 15 and 16Us I believe. ?It will be a couple of weeks until the location/times of the other age groups are announced. ?You can take a look at the 2006 tounament list for a general idea of when they MIGHT take place in 2007. ?To be sure, we will have to wait until Roxanne Beers (State Director) announces the state tournaments time and places. ? I wish they would be a little more proactive like the NSA.

COsball, Johnnies did a nice job explaining the USSSA route to the World Series. Just to add to his information some of the USSSa sanctioned tournaments are considered an NIT event. A tournament with this designation is able to offer 4 berths per age group ( 2 "A" berths and 2 "B" berths). There are only a few of them in Ohio each year and they are typically run down around Cincinnati. As Johnnies mentioned the berths can also be passed down if the top teams have already qualified.

Roxann told me that the tournament dates will be listed soon. Normally they are out by now.

In qualifing to be a 13u team does your team have to be 100% 13u eligible? I have a 14u team but 1 girl would not be 13u eligible. What is the cut off age date for USSSA?

Unfortunately yes. ?Cutoff date for USSSA is the same as all of the sanctioning bodies. (How old are you Jan 1st?) With one girl over the cutoff, you will have to register your team as a 14U - not 13U.
