Musty, I know you speak with tongue-in-cheek, (hey, that rhymes...), but the point is that while some parents are yelling, and b*tch*ng, and complaining, those other parents who are there for the enjoyment of watching the team play get the life ****ed out of them by having to endure the unpleasantries...

A triple header with a cold mist in already cold temperatures. Rain delays.

When one of the girls has to go to the bathroom during the game and the toilet is a mile away, if there is one.

Fielding errors and throwing the ball around. It doesn't happen as often anymore but man I hate to see it!!

I hate the drives home after bad games/tournaments. My wife being the coach is pouting the whole way home, ****ed, tired, frustrated.....

We do not have to win but if we play poor it is not fun. And if we do not win my wife always says " I just wanted to win that one....:lmao::lmao:" as if she would have been satisfied (it is our joke...).

And then we get the parent phone calls. There are always a couple that have an opinion or something she should try..........or have you thought about this..........or you know "insert parents DD" can play where ever some poor girl had an error..........or why didn't DD bat higher in order she was stroking it..........seriously, the parent phone calls are more aggrievating than the loss.

And I hate when I get overly fired up........I have gotten much better the last year but I still have to fight the urge to bark out at my daughter or umps. I have had quite a few perfect games at the end of last year. So I am hoping to build on the streak. Funny but the more we win the better parent I am.............;&;&;&

One thing I do like (I know supposed to be not like) but this is actually a perverse enjoyment.

I do not sit with the parents since my wife coaches the team and I also do not like to hear parents talk about other kids/errors/ect.

BUT I have noticed that towards the end of long weekends, hot days, ect. The parents will begin to thin out. They can not even stand each other. So they end up spread out over the whole foul line. I have seen it on our team at times. And I see it with other teams also. Especailly if the team is doing poorly. The little group of haters will clump together..........I know it is wrong. But I always find it funny.

A suggestion. Sit (or stand) out in outfield and watch the insanity. Especially 10U and 12U. The parents are worth the price of admission some games. And it seems that a bunch of crazy parents will all end up on the same team. Not sure if they where crazy before or if a "group" mentality evolved. But it is classic.

Those 8 a.m. games are tough. (actually, it's not the games, but the 5 or 6 a.m. alarm clocks that are tough.) But getting to the field just after daybreak with the mist lifting and the sun peeking over the trees can be quite beautiful. Knowing that you'll be spending the whole day at the ballpark, watching a dd you love playing a game you both love -- I really can't say I don't look forward to it.

The only thing I can't stand at 8 am is the wet fields. Those who have headaches or didn't have enough rest, you won't like me neither at 8 am. We're the car blasting Skillet. Just blame the DD, she has to have it loud.
