What does your organization charge to play?

I'm just curious there is no need to say what team you are affiliated, just wondering what others charged.

Our team has been going on a a one team organization for about 7 or 8 years now, believe it or not, for the first 5 we didn't charge a dime to play, we just fundraised and tagged.

Two years ago, we raised it to $100.00. Plus fundraising. Last year $200.00 plus fundraising.

We had a meeting and the parents decided they don't want to fund raise and wanted to play a flat fee or get sponsors, so they agreed on $600.00 which will include two new uniforms.

In the past it was 9 - 10 tournaments, same thing last year. This year as they are getting older, we are doing 6 or 7.

Thoughts?

$550 (two uniforms, 8-10 tournaments, helmet & bag)

I think you will find that is about average. Some more, some less. Without a major contributor it will be tough to get away from this number. If you're doing a lot of indoor work and paying for the space the number will be higher.

Uniforms Manufacturers want you to order a min. of 12 per set, average uniform runs $60.00 x 12= $720.00 x 2= $1440. Tournaments run average of $375.00 x 8= $3000. Bags run $40 x 12= $480.00, for a grand total of $4,920 not including sanctioning fees or insurance or team equipment. We are doing $200 per child as well as a fundraiser. Hope this information helps.

our prices vary per team but at 16u it costs $600(returning Classic) or $650(first year Classic). We host one maybe two tournies as a small fundraiser. Offer a 5% rebate from kroger shopping to cover their individual costs. we have 3 uniforms, helmets, socks, 2-3 fall tourines, 2-3 winter tournies, 8-9 summer tournies.

I think the younger ages are cheaper but they aren't as active as we are.

We try to keep things around $400. 2 complete uniforms, helmet and bat bag. 1 winter tournament and 7-9 summer tournaments. We also host 2 tournaments during the summer season. Parents help with that and also do fundraisers. With being Non-profit now some of the players have secured donations from companies to pay their fees. Also, ORBIS a MENASHA CORPORATION company is now a sponsor

$575 for us, this includes uniforms helmet and bag. We still do fund raisers and anything extra like hitting or renting out indoor facility we divide amongst the team. Of course pitchers are usually on their own with their instructor other days.

We charge 250 for new players and 200 for returning. This covers 8 tournaments in the summer, 3 in the winter plus indoor facility once a week from dec 1 to feb 1. We receive 2 uniforms, hoodie t-shirt, bat bag, and a helmet. Sudden Death Softball is one of the cheapest around. We also have 3 indoor tournaments in Jan and Feb.
Hope this helps.....

Breakingtherules..,

Please be sure to mention any sponsorship or fundraising that you do. $250 wouldn't even cover the cost of the tourneys you are entered in, let alone the hoodie, etc..

We hold several indoor tournaments and a couple summer ones that we require our parents to help with. That is it...
