Casey also has a fall tourney this weekend.
If it gets cancelled we will show up to help on a station Saturday if extra help is needed.

Well if Hawks Gear is there we had better be offsetting some of that Black/Gold with some Static Black and Teal.

Sure wish I could come to coaches clinic but not sure schedule will allow it. Dang work always seems to get in the way of everything. I am however bringing my daughter to the hitting clinic and am very much looking forward to it, as she is also.
SB, shame you won't be there. I was hoping to get to meet you.

I am eager to listen to Bustos present hitting...

DD just spent 90 min with her tonight (I missed it - had a board meeting) - I called Alli at 8:30 and asked how it went.. you will love this: (sorry Howard)

"Incredible Dad, Crystal is just like Howard, except I understand her better..."

I love it.. makes sense - female player vs aircraft engineer - LOL!

... CB really did a great job of working with Alli - she was able to fully explain what she worked on and why... tells me she paid full attention...

Do yourself a favor and come out tomorrow night ...

Doug I would like to be there when he gets even for that comment. Thanks for taking the heat of the rest of us . Till the dd's other sport is over, won sectional last night. Tough to balance both at present. Has softball games Sunday and Sokker practice Sunday night . Need to getto a clinic to keep my Lemming License up to date.

Black/Gold/Teal/Purple ... it's all the same ... LOL... Like I said in the other thread - I want to see SWO earn some more respect in the FP circles ...

Why are the 'Columbus' area tourney's the big draws? We need to get to the point where teams from SWO wins Stingray's, GAPSS, Compuware consistantly at all age groups, etc. I firmly believe that you don't have to 'shop' the state for talent for your teams to compete at the highest level.

We have a few 'strong' teams here in SWO that can hold their own in any level tourney, but in order for the entire regions talent level to move up- the coaching and instruction level must raise as well. It will take a few years but that is where we are headed with the Hawks, our coaches have to learn the right things to teach and how to teach them.. the girls will soak it up and results will come.

At last years Hawks Early Bird toureny we had teams like the Dragons, ACES (WVa), and others come down to Hebron to play due to the talented 10u/12u teams we had playing from SWO.. that was a first for us.. another first is that we have this year for the first time 6 players that committed to our program from a distance of over 2 hrs away. Three are located over 3 hrs distance. It will be a learning year for us in that regard but we are seeing a subtle shift in that area.

I hope next year other teams from Northern OH want to come down and 'test' their teams against all of us as well... I know Les is like minded in this, as is Kavin .. no reason that we don't start to gain an reputation in SWO for our play...

Doug,

I don't disagree with what you are saying, however I don't think that is going to happen until teams from SWO make the trek north and prove it. The teams in the north need to know that if they come south they are going to see the top competition like they have become used to playing. I see an improvement around the south, but you still need to head up 71 or 75 to see the best competition. If you are not willing to do that, then you have to be satisfied with what you have.

As far as Stingrays and GAPPS, I know a couple of teams from the "south" that have did very well there. ;& and were still rejected from Compuware so there are also some politics involved as with everything.JMHO.

Gopher, I agree... we will have to trek up north. We will probably do so this year and if not for certain next year. 11u's will have it rough this year as part of the "lumps" program I'm sure we are in for.
