What subjects get viewed vs posts?

I have some time on my hands since I am retired and enjoy posting and reading all the STUFF on the forms not just this one. So I started looking up what threads got the most posts and views on the OFC and then I wondered why we struggle with topics like throwing, fielding, hitting, training and vision or the stuff our kids may be struggling with as players.

It is interesting to see what is obviously considered more important in most people?s minds or I say their fingers as that is how we actually get to the thread.

Do not read anymore into this than it was interesting to see the subjects that interest us the most. We are a deverse group are we not?

Come on Mom, I said I have some time but not that much...I just thought it was interesting to see the views versus post even it was the same person.

The subjects and the attention and participation is what I find interesting.

It does indeed show that we are a diverse group. ?

It also highlights something that is unstated, but I believe is understood by most of the posters here---that this website is not strictly about the exchange of technical information about softball. ?

I suspect as many of us folks come here for the social aspects, the camaraderie ~ as do those who seek only to ask/answer fastpitch questions ~ ?and hopefully no one thinks that makes this site any less useful and important. ?

I also was hired by BTBICP to be their online spokesman since I was the only one in town with a computer. I just wished we had electricity. Traveling to Chilhowie to charge the laptop batter every 6 hours is killing my tractor.

Here's an OFC tip for ya.

I used to do the same, but it got really tedious until I noticed the "Mark as read" button at the top of every forum and in the main forum as well. This will mark all of the threads as "Read" and remove the "New" icon from them.

Now I just read the ones I'm interested in, then mark the rest as "read".

When you're in a board, like the "General Board" and hit the button, it just marks the messages in that forum as read. When you're in the root forum and hit the button all messages on the OFC are marked read.

Contraversy will usually weigh over education on every forum, parents of boys sports forums are evil if you go there, OFC is pleasant if you havn't ventured off to others.

Howard, ?Felicia did realize the help you gave her in a limited time, pointing out the gate swing was repaired and she did well in her final season, I did appreciate your concern towards my daughter's well being ?
