Mine oldest daughter is on a year layoff til she plays college ball, so Im currently using her glove (mine caught fire when my work car blew up) but I do have our youngest now that is 12u, so I still have several years left. Like Hitter said above, I have a 4 month grand DD so that will be round 3 a few years down the road. Still a lot of summers left!!!!!

Start with the next generation! Yeah she's only two months, but lots of time to break her into being a slapper!

I think I'm posting in the wrong section:

We are conducting tryouts for an 8u team in 6 years, the first weekend of August! Should be interesting, I'm pretty sure my 2 year old is a catcher!

Many of you know I have continued to work with the NFCA to promote fastpitch and as a coach I still give pitching lessons about 4 evenings a week all winter. However, I DID give up coaching in the summer and took up a new sport. I'm 4 years in to racing cars at a local short track. Shadybowl Speedway near Degraff, Ohio is 3/10th mile semi-banked asphalt track and I run with the OVDCA (Ohio Valley Dwarf Car Association) in a replica of a 1928 Curtis pickup and on the off weekends I run a Pro-4 class car. I'm doing about 18 race Saturdays a season and having a blast!!! Fastpitch Delivery, a monthly newspaper from the NFCA, had pictures and a short article about my hobby 2 summers ago.

I would call the bank and tell them that I don't need their stinking loans anymore, I have money again!

This is DD's senior year in college, so first I will cry, but then I'll buck up and settle in as her assistant coach for a summer team or wherever she decides to coach...maybe even school ball since she's going to be a teacher.

Corina , great to see you back. Talked to Kelly, she said they are going to be pretty good this year.
