Whatever Happened to...................

With nothing better to do on a artic cold evening, I was mulling over some old softball literature (5 years ago or so) and was wondering whatever happened to some of the teams I use to hear about. Now this thread is not meant to offend anyone, it's just a search for basic travelball knowledge. Like did any of these teams evolve into any present teams...ect. If anyone can come up with any older teams that are not around anymore or who evolved into present organizations, the history lesson would be much appreciated. Here's some of the teams that I was wondering about:

1) Ohio Lynx
2) Tigerlillies
3) Ohio Invasion
4) Ohio Stars
5) KC Flash
6) NWO Lady Irish

Like I said, a brief history lesson or the addition of other teams from our past would be appreciated. :) :) :)

I know the tigerlillies had at least a 14U team last year, not sure on older or younger age groups.
Invasion some of the players from their teams moved to the summit rage.

There is a 16U Tigerlillies team (coach Chris Sheppard) and either a 12U or 14U team this year (I want to say it's 14U, but not 100% sure).

NWO Lady Irish currently have 9 youth teams and recently added a Seniors Lady Fastpitch team. I think it's 65 and older. There may be a division playing at the J P Wilde Tournament in Toledo (CYO Fields) on the last weekend of June.

KC Flash was a team out of mostly Mt. Vernon. They were a start up team of former slowpitch players who wanted to play fastpitch. They were together for several years. Eventually some of the players left to play for other organizations. At least one of them is still playing on a travel team out of the Columbus area.

Whatever happened to the IIY (Investment In Youth) teams? I believe they were out of the Akron-Canton areas. They were always a tough opponent.

Whatever happened to the Class Act organization around the Youngstown/Warren area? They started early in the timeline of travel teams and were quite successful, from what I remember.

My oldest started with Class Act, loved that group of coaches and parents. It was her start into travelball and a couple great years of experience. They folded after the 2001 season if I remember right, coaches jobs did not allow them to continue with the group, it was a very sad ending for everyone.
Some of the best memories I have as a parent and my dd still talks about those days from time to time.
Ran into the coach last winter, what a rush of memories. We were so thankful they gave our PA girl a shot.

I believe some of those Ohio girls ended up playing with a team called the Illusion, now they should all be sophmore and juniors in college somewhere.

I played for Class Act when I was 11 and played for several years there. We had some very successful years, including placing very high in ASA Nationals. I actually just ran into some of my former teammates a few weeks back and it brought back a lot of great memories!! They did, as previously mentioned, fold several years back.

My dd was Shelbi, my middle dd at the time was playing for Valley Sting - Patton, we loved our ohio teams and coaches. Good times!
As I remember Chain Reaction was around those last two years while we were with Class Act, big rivals went on between those two teams.

KC Flash was a team out of mt. vernon. the players from the first team are either college freshmans and seniors in high school. several of them girls are still playing college-kenyon,high school,&travel-Heat, Lasers, GFOD, some of the girls who played with these travel teams are not playing now but went on to play with them after KC Flash decided not to play. the younger sister group of KC flash has girls playing high school and travel-Heat, Swarm, Dragons and I believe Lasers,1 yr. those who continue in softball are really good players for their teams- mt vernon, danville, highland, and centerburg.
