I'm gonna try this again and try not to offend anyone.
Here's the scenario, runner at first 1 out batter hits a deep fly ball to right, runner goes halfway, right fielder dropped the ball batter rounds first runner thinks fielder catches the ball. Batter passes runner who is on the way back to tag up and touches first base then runs to second base and the batter goes back to first base passing each other once again. Ball beats runner to second base and is called out on a force.
is this the only call?

Batter is out runner on 1st returns to 1st. It is called immediately by the umpire, not an appeal

It's not the only call...but it's the wrong call!

When two runners pass each other, it's always the trailing runner who is out, no matter which way the runners are heading. As already noted, the runner is out immediately. The ball remains live.

In your play, there was no force out to be had at second base because the trailing runner was already out (or should have been already out).

End result of this play should have been one additional out and a runner safe at second base.

Thanks BretMan I'm gonna look at the video again and see exactly what the base runner did.

Looking at the video again the runner never went to second base, she went to the dugout.

Now I'm not sure what happened here!

If she wasn't out on the passing, then she ran off the field and into the dugout, she'd be out for that. I wonder why she ran off? Did she think that she was out on the passing? As the lead runner, she shouldn't have been.

not sure unless she thought she was out on a force.
