Were looking into taken the TTT feature off the forum. As we have had way to many complaints about the abuse of TTT feature on OFC.

And I agree with you Tim, that if your tournament full and you have nothing to update why TTT and take away from other TD chance to been seen..

They could get around it by posting new threads. Is there a setting to ignore TTT's? Before taking TTT"s away maybe you should post a request to limit them. I bet many of the ones doing the daily TTT's don't realize they are overstepping the intended use. Maybe a please don't TTT a thread more then once a week kind of thing.

The worst offenders seem to have found a way to automate the process so that as soon as their thread falls to the second page it automatically gets bumped. Maybe if you could ad a visual verification like they use to stop spambots.

I have no problem with TTT's... but when your tournament is full already... why TTT it ? Doesn't make any sense. It isn't like someone is trying to get into your event !!!!

If there is "new" news in it... then sure... post for the teams the new news. But, to just ttt to see your tournament on the front page AFTER it is already full.. just doesn't make any sense to me. None whatsoever.

Well I've try the nice guy approach on the TTT things and I'm still not a big fan of the method.

I agree we have some user that as soon as it drops to the second or 3 page they Bump it up.

Were looking into the TTT feature at this time and will do something to change the method or how it handle in the next couple of days.

I'm sorry if you don't see the importance of notifying folks that a tournament that has a long history of being in Burton has moved 54 miles west.

Next year it shouldn't require so much notice, but this year it is appropriate. I would expect better from a Hankees fan.

You have a feature that will only let you post and then post again after 60seconds, can you make it where you can only TTT the same post every 48hrs.

I agree with you on the searching for a player. Because maybe a coach placed his original post in there in September just as a example. The ttting in that thread serves a purpose and does well to let a player know... "Hey, the (insert team) is still looking for a player. In that theory, I agree 110% percent. That is informative to the girls and coaches.

But, to ttt a full event... it is just mindboggling to me.

Even events that are not full being bumped every 30 minutes is ridiculous. Here is the biggest problem with the TTT....

Someone posts something of importance to get the word out, then someone TTT's a post to move theirs up...now the relevent thread shows there is new info to read, but the TTT's are now in front of it and NOW THE POST IS ON PAGE #2 or #3 in the matter of a few hours!!!

***Maybe you could set it so new posts go to the top and stay until a new post and all subsequent TTT"s come after any new posts.

***Better yet new posts go to page one and TTT's go to page 2 and TTT's can be bumped to page one once per day.

***Or sticky all new posts for a day or two then go back to idea number two.

My bad... But I still agree 110% percent with you. That is a good reason to ttt the thread... teams are still looking usually do... so that gives the girls a chance to know who is looking and who is not. I think you make a good point... a very good point.

Because if I was a parent looking to find a team for my daughter.... and a team that placed a post in Septemebr and has not ttt'd it... I just figure they aren't looking anymore and move on to the next one from my area. Why waste my time writing to them.
