World Series Softball in Columbus

We are going to Columus for the World Series at Berliner Park July24-26. Can anyone tell me where i can camp close to the park? They said i bring the camper in for $15.00 a day but have to drag it out at night. The whole idea is to save on $140.00/Night hotel rooms. I am not have any luck finding anywhere to camp so i thought i'd try here. Really don't want to camp in a Walmart parking lot... Thanks

There are 2 state park options that are nice camping venues, but are not exactly next door to Berliner. I have camped at both Delaware and Alum Creek State Parks for tournaments there. Delaware is about a 40-45 min drive by the time you make it back to your site, Alum is probably more like 30-35. I didn't mind the drive considering the savings on hotel and opportunity to camp as a family. Both typical state park prices, around $28/night I believe.

Deer Creek State Park is an option about 30 minutes to the south of Berliner. Very little traffic from the south as its a straight shot up I-71

Cross Creek Campground is where we go for the Columbus tournaments. Great place and very nice

I have heard of people camping at the fair grounds of the state fair also. It was closer than the hotel we stayed in last year.

Hey Rocky Top, where in the above quote was anything mentioned about a gate fee? Heads in Beds = hotel stay requirement. Sarcasm/smart humor works better when facts are correct.
