While surfing the web and checking out some teams and organization sites, I came across some really great web site. Some site are extremely well done and very informative, well other sites you can't even find a contact email address or Phone Number.

I started this Thread as a way to showcase your sites. You may share if you wish, what type of cost you have for keeping your site updated. If you want, you can give a plug for your web site IT person or company. Main focus of this thread is to Showcase your Site and share information for other looking into setting up a Team or organization web site.

Since I started the post, I'm going to pick a site that very well designed, very informative and you can locate contact info in under 10 seconds. The only thing I don't like about the site is the in-bedded youtube video and sound. The web designer did at least give the option to hit the stop button, I've been on a few site that don't give you the option to stop the background sound. But over all one of the Better Girls Softball web site I've seen.

Ohio Outlaws - http://www.ohiooutlaws.com

So let see them Girls Softball Sites, TIME TO SHOWCASE YOUR SITE!

TEAM OR ORGANIZATION SITES ONLY, NO COMMERCIAL SITES.

One of the things that drives me nuts about Team or Organization websites is they will raise the money to build a new website and then no one maintains it.....
Or the Organization has someone in charge of it but the Coaches will not give info to the person that is suppose to keep it up to date!
There are way more bad sites than good.

I will throw two out there. http://www.teampennsylvania.org/ http://www.teamgloryfastpitch.org/

Both Organizations played in Aunt Rosie's in 2016

Dave I agree with you 100%, that one of the reasons I started this thread was to have this exact conversation you brought up. I can find 9 bad sites for each good site out there. I'm not trying to knock down anyone's team sites just wanted to point out a short coming of good Web sites and (Showcase) the good and (*great sites) in order to help teams and organizations when they decide to build a girl team softball Web site, kinds of like the do and don't when putting together your web site.

I've always said easy to find contact information should be number #1 with any good website designs and layout.

I may be a little partial to my OHIO LASERS GREEN 2019/2020 website, but it serves our Players, Familys and College Coaches well. We have 5 links for Public use and 5 links that are Private for the College Coaches. As of this time we have 56 University Coaches that are private members. Our OHIO LASERS GREEN 2019/2020 website is at www.ladylasersgreen.com Please feel free to come check us out. Our 2017 Summer Schedule goes public this evening :)

Best Regards,

Were new to the organization but I've always thought Pittsburgh Power did a nice job -http://www.pittsburghpowersoftball.com/ - Like Dave said It could be better maintained but the recruiting information is there and the organization goes out of the way to get it on the site.

They could do a better job updating the College signings (I know we've had three or four on my DD's team that have not made the webpage yet) other wise well organized and fairly well maintained.

I do think it's funny that some organizations who purport to be the place to go to get girls signed are in reality just a clearinghouses for the girls who do all the work to get recruited and the teams do nothing more than give those girls a new uniform.
I assume these teams think THEY don't need to have recruiting information (or in some cases TEAM information) on their website since they are who they are.

Right over here!
I second that with the OUTLAWS site. Its not only updated regularly but EZ to navigate. Always know what the teams are doing. Each team has a link on the site and there are coaches contacts, schedules and player profiles. Its a one stop shop for College coaches to get info and easily identify kids they want to look at.

Its very well done!

Thank you Dave we do put a lot of pride into our website. I think the biggest compliment is that we don't have to tell people how good it is people notice, and for that I am very greatful.
Thank You

Here are a couple decent SW Ohio High School websites: Mason and Oak Hills have a lot of good info.

Compare to USA Top 25 HS program site:
http://www.gthssoftball.com/

After looking a several of the teams websites we faced when we were playing travel ball it looks like a lot are having a website for contact and tryout info and using facebook and twitter to update it. Several are having the players use a recruiting service website hyperlinked to a player photo like a lot of the high schools do. Here are some decent ones...
http://www.grapettes.com/
http://www.hometeamsonline.com/teams/default.asp?u=WTOMASELLO&s=softball&p=teams
http://www.tampamustangs.com/

A lot of bigger schools have some good websites that include recruiting links, game video, pictures, league stats. Max preps, Huddle, cube, I high are what a lot of teams use for player marketing. Naturally most HS do nothing to promote their players but there are some that do a good job.
I think most travel programs are now using facebook with twitter as the game day communication so they do not need a webmaster to update and for recruiting hyper linking...
