Can a girl play for a school when she does not reside in that district?
We just recently moved and where we moved to has no middle school ball,
someone today told me that she didnt have to be with in the district.
Truth or not anyone know the answer?

I think alot depends on whether the middle school program is a OHSAA sponsored sport. If it is I believe you have to attend the school to play for a OHSAA sponsored sport.

I dont know how many Middle schools are OHSAA sanctioned, I dont think its that many. I dont know of any here in NWO. I could be wrong. Most of the time they are sanctioned when the Middle school is part of the High School. I would just check to see if its sanctioned by OHSAA or not. If it is, I don't think she can play.

If your middle school has no team, but you are part of a Catholic Parish, you can play for their team. Our son plays for out Catholic school's team, but he goes to a public school that does not have a 6th grade team.

A lot of middle school teams aren't even sanctioned by the school. They use facilities but are not supported by the athletic department. My dd played as a 7th grader in another town and I helped start ours the next year!

yes after reviewing the site once again, it has the high school listed so i automatically assumed it was a no...but no middle school listed so maybe there is still a chance..we will keep our fingers crossed!
