Congrats to the Doom.Great team,coaches and parents.Great job #10 as always. Also would like to give props to the other team in the championship LASER SILVER,great weekend for our team also with only defeats coming to the Doom.Also great job by #13 who won three games by scores of 1-0,2-1,and 3-0, before running into the Doom.

forgot to give a mention to the lasers silver girl that tripled high off the fence in the last inning with her team down a run to the lasers gold. without that hit the silver would have fallen in the losers bracket. was a great game to watch. MD

Have to prop my shortstop Nikki Carpenter for letting it all hang out Sunday. Slammin homerun and six unbelievable plays. The best was a back hand snag going totally verticle to stop a line shot through the gap.

Classics Purple lil 3rd baseman who has one heck of a verticle jump.

Have to give props to the defense by the entire Sudden Death U14 team this weekend at their Thank You Middletown tournament.
In a collaborative effort between Chris' and Gregg's team, the girls came together as one unit and played well together.
Special shout out to Sarah who threw a shutout in the finals against the Outcast and Emi Pigg for some incredible plays at first, including a stretch to get the runner that was as close to the splits as I have seen from a first baseman!
Congrats ladies - job well done!

Thanks fiestymom for the kind words about Sam (Classics Purple). Must be her Volleyball training. She got pretty beat up in our 2 games against you but hung tough. She said " I guess it's the price you pay for being aggressive all the time." Congrats to your team, pretty nice ball club.

LunaChix 12U

#13 pitched her tail off this weekend something like 40 plus innings pitched. LOTS of strike outs with a no hitter, She dug deep the last game and I believe she was pitching faster than ever!

#44 is a beast at the home plate catching or hitting! Back way up!

#11 3rd baseman crashes so hard she can tell you what color the batters eyes are....Not to mention how many times she hit the ball past the out fielders or to the fence! (quit counting)

#17 left fielder covers every throw and always backs up third baseman without being reminded.

#20 wow what a batter to have on your team!

Also I liked the little pitcher for the Lady warriors she was a feisty little thing.

Ohio danger all around great team with good coaches!

All of the players we seen in West Liberty this weekend have awesome potential and great futures ahead of them.

I've got two shout-outs. The first shout-out goes to Ashley from NK Bandits 96. Ashley played great all weekend and absolutely crushed a ball Friday in the final inning when the game was tied and scored the winning run.

The second shout-out goes to Kenny's kid, the SS for the 12u Static Teal. She plays tough every time I see her and boy can she hit. She got on base with a great hit late in the game against us and ultimately crossed the plate scoring the first run of the game in the 6th inning.

Shout out to our first year pitchers on my 10u team... they only gave up 2 runs in 5 games with one perfect game, another no-no, and another 1 hitter at the Smokey Baker. Great to see them go from where they were last Fall to this summer of truely looking solid! One of them started at an average 31mph in late August 08 out of rec ball and actually hit 50mph twice in the perfect game on Saturday. Awesome!! Congrats to both of them for working so hard and it coming through!!!

Thank you Howard and everybody else for the props. My girls have been reading these posts and after being a little embarassed about all the props Ari said she would be nothing without her teammates, coaches, and teachers. That is where the credit should really go. My girls are fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful people. How blessed are we!

Went to ER in between games and came back to her team mates in a cast....Spent all day today on the bench cheering her teammates on. Class act and awesome teammate/player. She will be missed by her team on the field for the rest of this season!

I would like to 2nd the props for Shelby. I saw the xray and that is a break (gross). The hanging with the team was all her. Great competitor.
